King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden was joined by Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, Prince Carl-Phillip and Princess Sofia, and Princess Christina and Tord Magnuson, as he hosted a Dinner for the 2018 Nobel Laureates at the Royal Palace of Stockholm on December 11th, after awarding the Nobel Prizes on the 10th. The members of the Royal Family greeted the Nobel Laureates and their guests in the Vita Havet Assembly Rooms, before they processed into Karl XI’s Gallery for the Banquet. Since the Banquet is a private event, we usually only get pictures from the procession and of the Royals greeting guests, but this year, we also got a look at the table.
King Carl XVI Gustav wore White Tie with the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim and the Neck Badge of the Order of the Polar Star. Queen Silvia wore a pink gown with the Baden Fringe Tiara, diamonds earrings and riviere, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim, and King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait Brooch.
Crown Princess Victoria wore a red gown with the Laurel Wreath Tiara, diamond earrings, a pearl and diamond brooch, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim, and King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait Brooch. Prince Daniel wore White Tie with the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim and the Neck Badge of the Order of the Polar Star.
Prince Carl-Phillip wore White Tie with the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim and the Neck Badge of the Order of the Polar Star. Princess Sofia wore the Diamond version of her Wedding Tiara, Napoleonic Amethyst Earrings, Brooch, and Bracelet, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim, and King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait Brooch.

Tord Magnuson wore White Tie with the neck badges of the Order of Vasa and H. M. The King’s Medal as well as his medals. Countess Bettina Bernadotte wore her Cufflink Tiara.
Very nice all around, except Crown Princess Victoria. She was looking like a million bucks! She looked wonderful at the ceremony, but she looked amazing tonight! I really like how Princess Lilian’s Laurel Wreath tiara looks on her. It’s a difficult tiara to wear, but she owns it! Princess Sofia looked very nice and so did the Queen (wearing the Baden fringe, which she rarely wears), but the night belonged to CP Victoria! Oh, and the men looked nice too! 🙂
