Princess Eugenie of York, younger daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, married Jack Brooksbank at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on October 12th. The bride is 9th-in-line to the Throne, and the first of the Queen’s male-line granddaughters to get married. The couple announced their engagement in January.

Princess Eugenie arrived at St. George’s Chapel, after traveling in a 1977 Rolls Royce Phantom VI, on the arm of her father, soon after the arrival of the Queen and other members of the Royal Family via the Galilee Porch, while Jack arrived with his Best Man and brother, Thomas. The flowers were arranged by designer Rob Van Helden, who used locally sourced foliage and flowering branches from Windsor Great Park.

The ceremony was officiated by the Dean of Windsor, The Rt. Revd. David Conner, who gave the Address, along with a personal prayer written by the Archbishop of York, The Most Revd. and Rt. Hon. John Sentamu, who led the prayers. Singer-songwriter Andrea Bocelli performed two pieces during the Service, along with two hymns by James Vivian, Director of Music St George’s Chapel. Princess Beatrice gave the Second Reading, taken from The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, while Charles Brooksbank gave the First Reading, taken from St Paul’s Letter to the Colossians Chapter 3 verses 12-16.

After the Service, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank signed the marriage register, and after curtsying to the Queen, the newly married couple walked down the aisle of St. George’s Chapel, pausing for a kiss on top of the steps lined with Members of Nijmegen Company Grenadier Guards. They then undertook a short ride in the Scottish State Coach from the Royal Mews on to part of the High Street, before returning to Windsor Castle, where the Queen gave a Reception for the couple and their wedding guests.

Princess Eugenie wore a Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos gown with the grand Greville Emerald Kokoshnik, publicly seen for the first time in over 80 years, and diamond and emerald earrings which are a gift from the Groom. Jack Brooksbank wore Morning Dress.
