King Constantine (in the Order of the Elephant and the Order of Saints George and Constantine) of Greece and Princess Anne Marie (wearing the Greek Ruby Parure and the Order of the Redeemer for the first time) of Denmark’s Pre-Wedding Dinner and Reception offered by the Greek Government and Prime Minister Georgios Papandreou at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens on this day in 1964, two days before their Wedding and the first glittering event in Greece after a Gala and Farewell Dinner in Copenhagen in the previous days. King Frederik IX (wearing the Order of the Redeemer), Queen Ingrid (in the Pearl Poiré Tiara and the Order of Saints Olga and Sophia), Queen Frederica (wearing Queen Sophie’s Diamond Tiara and the Order of the Elephant), and Princess Irene (in Queen Sophie’s Diamond Circle Tiara and the Order of the Elephant) were also in attendance.
