Reigning and exiled European Royalty gathered in Naples on this day in 1954, to board the Agamemnon, ‘the Cruise of Kings’, on a cruise of the Mediterranean, Aegean, and the Ionian Seas. The trip was financed by the Greek Royal Family to boost for tourism in the Greek Isles, as well as create matches among the younger guests. Guests were 104 Royals from Greece, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Romania, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, and Russia, including four Kings and five Queens.
