Crown Prince Frederik’s 50th Birthday Gala Dinner at Christiansborg Palace

Crown Prince Frederik has been celebrating his 50th Birthday in a series of events, including a Jubilee Dinner, Royal Run, and Portrait unveiling culminating to the celebrations on May 26th, his birthday. Click HERE to take a look at the other events.

In the early evening, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary traveled in a Carriage through the streets of Copenhagen to the Gala Dinner at Christiansborg Castle, with an escort of the Gardehusarregimentets Hesteskadron.

Queen Margrethe hosted a glittering Gala Dinner at Christiansborg Castle to celebrate the Crown Prince’s 50th Birthday. In attendance were guests from home and abroad, including Royal guests from Greece, Sweden, Norway, The Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. The Queen, Crown Princess Mary, and the Prince Minister gave a warm and touching speeches.

Queen Margrethe wore a pink gown gown with the Nassut Tiara, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant and the Badge of the Order of the Dannebrog. Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark wore Uniform with his medals, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant and Neck Badge of the Order of the Dannebrog. Crown Princess Mary wore a Lasse Spangenberg gown with her Necklace Tiara, diamond floral earrings, Diamond Flower Brooch in her hair, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant and Queen Margrethe’s Royal Family Order.

Prince Joachim wore Uniform with his medals, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant and Neck Badge of the Order of the Dannebrog. Princess Marie wore a blue Elie Saab gown with the Dagmar Floral Tiara, sapphire earrings, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant and Queen Margrethe’s Royal Family Order. Prince Nikolai wore White Tie. The Countess of Frederiksborg wore a pink gown with the Alexandrine Drop Tiara, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant and Queen Margrethe’s Royal Family Order.
