The Queen (in the Modern Sapphire Tiara and George VI Sapphire Parure) and the Queen Mother (wearing the Greville Tiara) are greeted by Sir Louis Gluckstein, the President of the Albert Hall Council, as they arrive at the Albert Hall on this day in 1971, to celebrate the centenary of its opening, which was attended by Queen Victoria.
