The Queen attended the HMS Ocean Decommissioning Ceremony, on March 27th in Plymouth. She arrived at Plymouth Railway Station by Royal Train and proceeded by car to HMNB Devonport, where she arrived to a 21 Gun Salute. The Queen was greeted by Captain Robert Pedre, the Commanding Officer, Admiral Sir Philip Jones, First Sea Lord, and Commodore Ian Shipperly, the Naval Base Commander. She proceeded to the dais for the Royal Salute and decommissioning ceremony, and as the ship’s Lady Sponsor, the Queen said a few words. She then had lunch, before meeting with families and the ship’s personnel.
