  1. The Grand Duchess looked very excellent in both her outfits. She looks especially nice in the flowing green evening dress. That silhouette really favors her. She’s also wearing the family’s emeralds which are absolutely lovely! I really don’t know why Mrs. Macron wore that metallic thing over her shoulders for the evening. I think her dress would have been much better with the simple addition of a nice necklace instead. But her morning blue dress was very chic! She looked smashing there!

    1. I agree! The Grand Duchess looked amazing, something I haven’t been able to say recently! BTW, check out my podcast on UFO No More and let me know what you think!

      1. Well, I’m not much of a podcast person. I wouldn’t even know how to access it! I went to the UFO website and it seems to be a great website. Maybe if you explain the whole concept to me I would be able to be more supportive! 🙂

  2. Well, that was a nice podcast! 🙂 One of the reasons why I read your blog is because it’s positive and encouraging, there is no meanness in your posts something which I find delightful. It doesn’t mean you can’t suggest or criticize, but it is done gently, without the vitriol that I find in so many other royalty blogs.

I honestly don’t know why some people follow royals only to tear them apart. This happens not only by the blog authors, but also in the comments. It’s like royals can’t do anything right! I have found that, for the great majority, royals are very much aware of their responsibilities and try to carry them out as best they can. However, they’re not perfect human beings and they do deserve to have some private time. Some people think that because they’re supported by tax money that they “own” them and that is not more true than for anyone whose work is paid by a government agency. I’ll bet a public school teacher or a clerk in a city office would demand some time off and privacy, and they would be absolutely right! I was so sorry to hear that Lady Louise was sad to read what was said about her because I think she’s such a lovely young lady. Social Media is a very powerful tool and many people don’t realize how powerful it really is and how much damage it can cause. However, the genie is out of the bottle and there’s no way to put it back in. I do hope we learn to use it for the good!

Reading royal blogs like yours amuses and distracts me by noticing the jewels and learning about the history attached to them. Reading these blogs is a soothing balm when all the horrible things that are happening in the world discourage me and make me doubt that there is any goodness left. And I agree that the Duchess of Cambridge and Ms. Markle get along very well and that the Duchess of Cornwall will be queen when Prince Charles is king. Some people are so obsessed with the late Princess of Wales that they refuse to accept facts. They do need to realize that it’s a not a popularity contest. The king’s wife is the queen consort. The Duchess of Cornwall has been more than delicate in using that alternate title, but when Prince Charles is king, it would not be proper for her to be a “Princess Consort”. I, for one, doubt that a 1,000 year-old tradition will be broken. Some people say that Queen Elizabeth II will be the last queen of Great Britain because of that controversy and if that is so it’d be so sad. I do hope it doesn’t come to pass.

I hope you continue your work, especially since you’re so young and have your whole life ahead of you. I don’t know what profession you will choose, but a history professor/researcher would be excellent! 🙂

    1. Wow! Thank you so much for your lovely comment! It really means a lot to me that you enjoy reading my work! I agree with your thoughts on the royals issues, and do hope they can be figured out properly!
