Queen Elizabeth II (glittering her Girls of Great Britain & Ireland Tiara) and the Duke and Duchess of Kent (wearing Queen Mary’s Crochet Bandeau Tiara) leave Her Majesty’s Theatre in London after attending a performance of ‘HMS Pinafore’ on this day in 1962.
Oh, how I wished there were performance like these now! Even when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have attended premiers, there are no tiaras in sight. In addition to the Girls of Great Britain & Ireland tiara, Queen Elizabeth is wearing “Granny’s chips” there! What a treat! And the Duchess of Kent looks absolutely lovely in the diamond bandeau.
