Princess Benedikte of Denmark and the late Prince Richard of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow, and to mark the occasion, we are taking a look at one of their pre-wedding events- a Gala Performance at the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen. Princess Benedikte (glittering in her 18th Birthday Floral Tiara) and Prince Richard sat in the Royal Box, while King Frederik IX, Queen Ingrid (wearing the Danish Ruby Parure), Queen Anne-Marie of Greece (in the Greek Emerald Parure Tiara), and Crown Princess Margrethe (in the Alexandrine Drop Tiara) viewed the performance from the gallery.

This must be a terribly poignant anniversary for the Princess. She must miss Prince Richard very much.
I know! I was very sad when he died. I think he tried to be a good husband and father and from what I’ve read, he succeeded.
