Queen’s Christmas Speech 2017

The Queen’s annual Christmas Speech was broadcast at 3pm GMT on Christmas Day in the UK and the Commonwealth. In her 65th Christmas Broadcast, which was recorded in Buckingham Palace’s 1844 Room earlier this month, the Queen paid tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh and talked about the importance of Home after the recent terror attacks in the UK.

  1. I always enjoy the Queen’s Christmas speech and this year did not disappoint. This is the only time of the year when she says what she wants to say and not something she’s been given to say on behalf of the government. I am always struck by how she always manages to say something relevant and uplifting. It’s never controversial or terribly clever. It’s just a simple message from the heart, which is exactly what we need. 🙂
