Formal Gathering of the Swedish Academy 2017

The Swedish Royal Family attended the Formal Gathering of the Swedish Academy at the Stock Exchange Hall in Stockholm on the evening of December 20th. At the Gathering, the Swedish Academy decides on the Nobel Laureates for the Nobel Prizes

King Carl XVI Gustav and Queen Silvia were joined by Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl-Phillip, Princess Sofia, Princess Madeleine, and Christopher O’Neil as they attended the Formal Gathering of the Swedish Academy at the Exchange Hall, which is always held four days before Christmas. The Formal Gathering is scheduled the last engagement of the Swedish Royal Family this year.

King Carl XVI Gustav wore White Tie with the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim and the neck badge of the Order of the Polar Star. Queen Silvia wore a blue gown with diamond, earrings, riviere, brooch, King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait brooch, and the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim. Crown Princess Victoria wore a maroon velvet gown with diamond earrings, bow brooch, King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait brooch, and the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim. Prince Daniel wore White Tie with the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim and the neck badge of the Order of the Polar Star.

Prince Carl Phillip wore White Tie with the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim and the neck badge of the Order of the Polar Star. Princess Sofia wore blue gown with a headband, diamond earrings, brooch, King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait brooch, and the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim. Princess Madeleine wore a blue lace gown with diamond earrings, pearl brooch, King Carl Gustaf’s Portrait brooch, and the sash and star of the Order of the Seraphim. Chris O’Neil wore White Tie with neck badge Order of the Polar Star.
