Belgian State Visit to India- Day 3

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium are on 7-day State Visit to India, from November 5th to 11th, to strengthen political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries. Click HERE for Day 1 and HERE for Day 2.   

On the morning of November 8th, King Philippe attended the opening of the Indian-Belgian Business Forum: Industry 4.0, Sustainability and Trade at the Headquarters of the Confederation of Indian Industry, while Queen Mathilde attended a SDGs Breakfast and had a networking meeting with Indian Tour operators.

   
   

Later, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde saw the “India and Belgium & the Centenary of the Great War/ India in Flanders’ Fields” exhibition at the Belgian Embassy, which was followed by the King attending a Power Luncheon at the Embassy, and the Queen attending a Academic lunch at the Taj Diplomatic Enclave Hotel. In the afternoon, Queen Mathilde made a women empowerment field visit to the Dakshinpuri Community Center, while King Philippe attended the ‘Innovative Belgian technologies for the heavy industry – Cement, Steel & Railways’ and “Belgian innovative contributions in shaping India’s future as a global food player” seminars, followed by a High Level Networking Tea in the garden of the Hotel.

   
   

In the evening, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hosted a reception for the Belgian Delegation and the Belgian Community at the Residence of the Belgian Ambassador to India, which was followed by a “Bollylicious” dance show.
