Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in Malaysia- Day 4

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are on an 11-day visit to Singapore, Malaysia, and India from October 30th to November 9th, at the request of the British Government, to celebrate the United Kingdom’s partnership with these Commonwealth Nations on shared priorities in advance of the Commonwealth Summit in April 2018.

On November 7th, in George Town, Penang, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall started their day at St George’s Church, the oldest Anglican Church in South East Asia, which was followed by a visit to Han Jiang Temple, the Kapitan Keling Mosque, the oldest mosque in George Town, and the Sri Mahamariamman Temple.

Afterwards, the couple visited the Teochew Puppet & Opera House, where they saw a traditional puppet show. Later, the Duchess of Cornwall visited China House, where she got to paint, while the Prince met pilots at the Royal Malaysia Armed Forces Butterworth base and joined a heritage discussion at Seven Terraces Hotel.

In the evening, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall attended a reception to celebrate Malaysian art and culture at Penang’’s Peranakan Mansion, where they met, among other, Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh, and watched a musical performance.

The Prince of Wales wore a gray pinstriped suit with a blue and red striped tie. The Duchess of Cornwall wore a beige salwar kameez and her everyday pearl earrings. In the evening, the Prince wore a navy suit with a striped tie. The Duchess wore a cream salwar kameez and her Van Cleef & Arpels Magic Alhambra earrings.

  1. I’m really liking these tunics the Duchess is wearing on this trip. They look extremely comfortable yet very elegant.

    1. I usually like the Duchess’ tour style and tunics, but I have to say that the pale blue/turquoise tunics are getting a bit repetitive! I’d like to see some variety!
