Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in Brunei

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are on an 11-day visit to Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia, and India from October 30th to November 9th, at the request of the British Government, to celebrate the United Kingdom’s partnership with these Commonwealth Nations on shared priorities in advance of the Commonwealth Summit in April 2018. Upon arrival in Bandar Seri Begawan (the capital of Brunei) on November 2nd, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall were welcomed by Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah and Crown Princess Sarah of Brunei. Afterwards, they visited the Royal Gurkha Rifles at the at the Edinburgh Palace, where the Prince reviewed the guard and the couple attended a reception.

Later, the Prince and Duchess had High Tea and an Audience with Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and Queen Saleha of Brunei at the Istana Nurul Iman Palace in Bandar Seri Begawan. Following the meeting, the Royal couple returned tp the airport and boarded their flight to Kuala Lumpur, and the start of the royal visit to Malaysia.

The Prince of Wales wore a cream suit with a dark tie, regimental pins, and a poppy. The Duchess of Cornwall wore a turquoise salwar kameez with a matching scarf and her turquoise and diamond earrings and an enamel poppy brooch.
