Happy Birthday to the Duke of Sussex! Born Prince Henry (Harry) of Wales, as the second son of the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer, he grew up at Kensington Palace and Highgrove House and was educated in the UK. Prince Harry’s parents separated and divorced in the 1990s, and in 1997, his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, died in a car crash in Paris. After graduation and a gap year, Prince Harry underwent officer training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and was commissioned into the Blues and Royals, serving in Afghanistan, before leaving the Army in 2015. In 2014, he created and launched the Invictus Games, an international Paralympic-style, multi-sport event for wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel. In 2018, Prince Harry married American actress Meghan Markle, becoming the Duke of Sussex, and the couple welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in 2019 before stepping down from their roles to carve a new role outside the Royal Family. We wish HRH a very Happy Birthday and Many Happy Returns!
