Wedding of Countess Astrid Bernadotte and Marchesi Filippo Bruti Liberati

Countess Astrid Bernadotte, daughter of Count Bertil Bernadotte, a distant cousin of King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, married Italian Marquees Filippo Bruti Liberati at the Ognissanti Church in Florence on July 10th.

King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden attended the wedding of his goddaughter and distant cousin, Astrid Bernadotte, in Florence with Queen Silvia and Crown Princess Victoria. The reception afterwards was held at the Palazzo Corsini. The bride wore the same bridal crown as her grandmother and aunt. For the reception, she wore the famous Russian Aquamarine Kokoshnik Tiara, it is unknown if it is owned by the family or just loaned.

Queen Silvia repeated her magenta Georg et Arend gown with the Napoleonic Amethyst Tiara, Necklace, and Earrings. Crown Princess Victoria repeated her Jenny Packham gown with the Cut Steel Bandeau, diamond earrings, and a diamond pendent.

  1. I love it when you post about royals with less star power- those that are not heads of state. I feel like we get a more intimate look at the family that way.
