Queen Elizabeth II visited the Highland Spring Factory in Blackford, Perthshire on July 6th as part of Holyrood Week, her week-long annual stay in Scotland. This week, the Queen hosted a Garden Party, opened the Queen Elizabeth II Canal, visited Stirling Castle, and had an audience with the Canadian Prime Minister.
The Queen opened the Ochils 2017 factory building at Highland Spring Ltd. in Blackford, Perthshire. The Factory has been named ‘Ochils 2017’, after the Ochil Hills – the source of the water bottled here. The Queen met with officials,a nd then with staff in the factory before pushing the green button to start the production line. Special water bottle labels were also produced for the Queen’s visit today. After unveiling a plaque to mark the visit, the Queen was greeted by local residents and presented with two posies.
