For the day events, King Willem-Alexander wore a navy suit with an orange tie later changing into a mauve tie. Queen Máxima wore a pale pink Natan dress with a Fabienne Delvigne hat and rose quartz earrings, brooch, and bracelets. For the Banquet, King Willem-Alexander wore Black Tie. Queen Máxima wore a Jan Taminiau red evening gown (from King Willam-Alexander’s 50th Birthday) with the Mellerio Ruby Tiara, necklace, and earrings.

Also present at the Banquet were King Willem-Alexander’s cousin Prince Jaime and Princess Viktória of Bourbon-Parma (who wore the base of the Antique Pearl Tiara).

Queen Maxima was absolutely stunning in that gorgeous red dress! Not to mention that her ruby parure is exquisite- especially the necklace! It’s so nice to see they met Prince Jaime and his wife Viktoria at the banquet. No doubt he and his wife were there because he is the Dutch Ambassador to the Holy See. It’s so very excellent that the Dutch Royal House has a Jewel Foundation so that Princess Viktoria could wear a beautiful diadem as well!
I can’t help but think how awkward the meeting with the Pope could be for Queen Maxima. As always, thank you for the wonderful coverage.
We will see about that, though it hasn’t been too awkward on previous visits! Glad you appreciate my work!! 🙂
