Wedding of Princess Madeleine of Sweden

Happy Wedding Anniversary to Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Christopher O’Neill, who got married in a lavish ceremony in Stockholm on this day in 2013. The couple have two adorable children and reside in London. Take a look at scenes from their wedding below-

The Ceremony was held in the Royal Chapel at the Royal Palace in Stockholm and officiated by Bishop Lars-Göran Lönnermark, Royal Court Chief Chaplain.

Afterwards, the couple greeted the cheering crowds outside of the Chapel.

Princess Madeleine wore a custom-made Valentino lace gown with her Modern Fringe Tiara and the Vasa Earrings. Christopher O’Neill wore White Tie with the badge of the Order of the Polar Star.

The bride and groom then rode by carriage through the streets of Stockholm en route to Riddarholmen.

At the Riddarholmen, the couple and their guests boarded three boats to travel to Drottningholm Palace for the wedding banquet, which was not televised like the weddings of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Carl-Phillip.

Queen Silvia wore a jade-coloured silk organza, embroidered silk lace and Swarovski stones dress with Queen Sofia’s Nine Prong Tiara with a diamond riviere and the Karl Johan Earrings. Prince Carl Philip wore the mess dress model 1878 of a Captain in the Swedish Amphibious Corps with the Order of the Seraphim and his other decorations.

Crown Princess Victoria wore a Fadi El Khoury ‘greige rosé dress with aubergine accents’ with Princess Lillian’s Laurel Tiara, her Stomacher Necklace, and diamond earrings and a brooch. Princess Estelle wore a white dress. Prince Daniel wore White Tie with the Sash and Star of the Order of the Seraphim.

Princess Margretha wore purple with the Baden Fringe Tiara, Princess Brigitta wore pink with the Connaught Tiara and her mother’s sapphires. Her daughter, Princess Désirée of Hohenzollern, wore green with the Pearl Circle Tiara. Princess Christina wore pale green with the Six Button Tiara. Her husband wore White Tie.

The Earl of Wessex wore Uniform with the Order of the Garter. The Countess of Wessex wore a pale pink dress with her Five Aquamarine Tiara and Royal Victorian Order. Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume wore Uniform. Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie wore an Elie Saab gown with the Luxembourg Topaz/Citrine Parure.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit wore a tiered pastel gown with her Amethyst necklace Tiara and earrings and the Order of the Polar Star. Crown Prince Haakon wore Uniform with the Order of the Seraphim. Princess Martha Louise wore a purple gown with the smaller version of Queen Maud’s Pearl Tiara and her Tanzanite Parure and the Order of the Polar Star. Ari Behn wore White Tie.

Crown Princess Mary wore a neon coral gown with her Midnight Tiara, diamond Dulong earrings, and the Order of the Polar Star. Crown Prince Frederik wore Uniform with the Order of the Seraphim. Princess Marie wore a pale pink gown with her Floral Tiara and the Order of the Seraphim. Prince Joachim wore Uniform with the Order of the Polar Star.
