Queen at Epsom Derby

Queen Elizabeth II and her cousin, Princess Alexandra of Kent, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy, attended Investec Derby Day on June 3rd at the Epsom Downs Racecourse.

The Queen and Princess Alexandra arrived with a large group of friends, including Jean, Countess of Carnarvon, Lord Vestey, Sir Michael Oswald, Lady Angela Oswald, Lady Carolyn Warren, Sir Alan Reid, and Lady Reid, as they attended Investec Derby Day at the Epsom Downs Racecourse. Later, the Queen was seen chatting to her Racing Advisor John Warren from the balcony while watching the races.

The Queen (looking bright and cheerful) wore a floral dress with a Stewert Parvin coat and Rachel Trevor Morgan hat, pairing her customary Three Strand Pearl Necklace with the Singapore Peranakan Diamond Jubilee Brooch. Princess Alexandra wore a green skirt suit with a striped scarf, a cream hat, and her pearl choker.
