Queen Maxima arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, and first visited a farm where tshe spoke with the owner and other farmers around the HortiDalat project. This project provides funding and technical support. Rabobank Foundation supports the project carried out by consultancy Fresh Studio from Vietnam. Farmers get through HortiDalat loans for construction of hothouses, advice to increase production and help in setting up a business plan. The project connects farmers and retailers together. As a result they have more guarantees for the marketing of their products and a steady income. Farmers vote amongst themselves what they are going to grow to avoid overproduction. Queen Máxima also visited a store where mobile customers can do online banking.
