Chelsea Flower Show 2017

Queen Elizabeth II, accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, and other Members of the Royal Family, attended the RHS Chelsea Flower Show at the Royal Hospital Chelsea on May 22nd. Members of the Royal family have attended the Show, held by the Royal Horticultural Society, regularly since its inception in 1913. Upon arrival at the Chelsea Flower Show, the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh were greeted by the President of the Royal Horticultural Society, Sir Nicholas Bacon. Afterwards, they toured the gardens and saw displays. The Royal Party attended a private reception before departing.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie of York, Earl and Countess of Wessex, Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Alexandra, and Prince Michael of Kent were present, and also toured the gardens and saw displays, including the Commonwealth War Graves Commission gardens, installed as a contemplative space.

The Queen wore a floral dress with a lilac jacket, pairing her customary Three Strand Pearl Necklace with the Chelsea Iris Brooch, a Diamond Jubilee gift by the Royal Horticultural Society. The Duke of Edinburgh wore a dark suit with a dark tie. The Duchess of Cambridge wore a green floral Rochas dress with her Monica Vinader ‘Siren’ earrings.

The Earl of Wessex wore a dark suit with a dark tie. The Countess of Wessex repeated a pink Valentino dress. Princess Beatrice wore a textured blue dress with a black jacket. Princess Eugenie wore a dark green Sandro dress with a green cardigan.

Princess Alexandra wore a purple coat with pearls and her diamond petal brooch. Prince Michael of Kent wore a grey suit with a golden tie.
