The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry hosted a special garden party at Buckingham Palace which featured live performances from Jess Glynne and Nina Conti, magician Lance Corporal Richard Jones, and other children’s entertainers. They arranged the event to acknowledge and honour the fact that young children have had to come to terms with the loss of someone very close to them at a young age. There were a number of stalls where guests took part in face painting, arts and crafts, science experiments, circus skills and cupcake decorating. The party concluded with a special display from the RAF Falcons. The Duke, Duchess, and Prince met with the children and their families, took part in activities, and Prince Harry gave a speech, saying ‘We’re here to celebrate you’ to acknowledge the children coping with the loss of someone very close to them.
