Queen Maxima attended the opening of the ‘Forbidden Porcelain Exclusive for the Emperor’ exhibition at the Prinsenhof Museum in Delft. The exhibition shows Chinese porcelain from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) that was created exclusively for the Chinese emperors. Series of each design were produced, so that the judges only presented the best porcelain to the emperor. If the porcelain failed or been chosen, it had to be destroyed.
