Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in Austria- Day 2

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall completed their two-day visit to Austria on April 6th. On the final day of their tour of Europe, they visited the Jewish museum in Vienna, enjoyed a rehearsal of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, visited a vineyard and ‘Buschenschank’, saw a demonstration at the Spanish riding school, and . The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall started the final day of their tour of Europe with a tour of the Jewish Museum in Vienna, which seeks to raise awareness of Jewish history, religion and culture through its exhibits and educational workshops, and where they met Holocaust survivors.

Afterwards, the Prince and Duchess toured the world famous Wiener Musikverein, where they heard the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra rehearse and saw a number of original manuscripts by composers such as Mozart and Brahms, and Beethoven’s ear trumpet, from the Musikverein’s archives.

Later the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall visited the Weinbau Buschenschank Obermann vineyard, where they enjoyed a taste of traditional Austrian produce.

The Prince of Wales also visited the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe and joined discussions on modern slavery and freedom of religion and belief.

The Duchess visited the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, who have practised their style of riding for more than 450 years. The Prince and Duchess boarded their flight back to the UK soon afterwards.

The Prince of Wales wore a blue suit with a bale blue tie. The Duchess of Cornwall wore a pale blue coat with her Everyday Pearl Earrings, a pearl choker, and a small cluster brooch.
