Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in Italy- Day 6

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were visiting Italy from March 31st to April 5th on advice from the British Government. They were based in Florence, and visited Vicenza, Naples, Amatrice, and Rome. On the final day, the Prince and Duchess met with the Italian President and the Prince visited the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation before departing for Austria.

The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall started the final day of their visit to Italy by meeting Italian President Sergio Mattarella at the Quirinal Palace in Rome. They were greeted by the ‘Corazzieri’, Italy’s Presidential Guard.

The Prince of Wales also had a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of Italy, Paolo Gentiloni. His final engagement in Italy was a visit to the Headquarters of the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation, where he met practitioners and experts working on solving the East Africa Famine, and attended a discussion on climate change.

The Prince of Wales wore a grey suit with a striped red tie. The Duchess of Cornwall wore a cream Anna Valentine dress with her Everyday Pearl Earrings and the Queen Mother’s Rock Crystal Brooch.
