BAFTA 2017

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the EE British Academy Film Awards at The Royal Albert Hall in London on the evening of February 12th. The Duke is BAFTA’s President. This is the first time they have attended the BAFTA’s in London. The Duke and Duchess attended a BAFTA event in LA in 2011

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the EE British Academy Film Awards at The Royal Albert Hall. They were welcomed by Amanda Berry OBE, Chief Executive of BAFTA, on the red carpet and met officials before taking their seats in the auditorium to watch the Awards Ceremony. Among the stars present were Meryl Streep, Hugh Grant, Emma Stone, Jim Chapman and Tanya Burr, Eddie Redmayne, Natalie Portman, Amy Adams, Andrew Garfield, Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Nicole Kidman, Sophie Turner, and Jessica Brown Findlay. The couple got a mention from host Stephen Fry, before the Duke introduced the Fellowship award.

The Duke of Cambridge wore Black Tie. The Duchess wore a modified version of the Alexander McQueen violet jacquard gown with repeated large pink gemstone and diamond earrings and the Queen’s Wedding Gift Bracelet.
