Dinner at Noordeinde Palace

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands hosted a Dinner for German President Joachim Gauck at Noordeinde Palace on February 6th in The Hague.The King and Queen will start an official visit to Germany on the 7th.

King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima hosted a Dinner for German President Joachim Gauck and his partner, Daniela Schadt, at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague. King Willem Alexander gave a speech in German celebrating the special relationship between Germany and the Netherlands. The President is being awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Maastricht on February 7th.

For the Dinner, Queen Maxima wore a red Valentino cape gown with ruby and diamond earrings and the necklace (seen for the first time since the 60s) from the Dutch Ruby Peacock Parure. The King wore Black Tie.
