Danish New Year’s Reception

Queen Margrethe of Denmark hosted a New year’s reception for Supreme Court judges, the Royal Guard and the regiments Officer Corps, and the Diplomatic Corps at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen on January 3rd. She was joined by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary. Queen Margrethe also held a New Year’s Banquet on the 1st.

Queen Margrethe of Denmark, joined by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, hosted a New year’s reception for Supreme Court judges, the Royal Guard and the regiments Officer Corps, and the Diplomatic Corps at Christiansborg Palace. The Royals were pictured arriving and then receiving their guests in the Great Hall of the Palace.

Queen Margrethe wore the fur trimmed navy damask gown she always wears for the event with the brooch from the Pearl Poire parure. Crown Prince Frederik wore uniform with his medals. Crown Princess Mary wore a modified version of a ice blue Julie Fagerholt dress, worn previously to this event, with delicate diamond earrings. All three wore the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant.
