December 30th marked the centenary of the Coronation of Emperor Charles I of Austria as King Charles IV of Hungary at the Matthias Church in Budapest. The Emperor is accompanied by his wife, Empress Zita, and his heir, Crown Prince Otto. Emperor Charles was exiled in 1919, soon after WWI, and died of pneumonia in 1922, at the age of 34. Empress Zita raised their eight children until her death in 1989 at the age of 96. Archduke Otto, known more commonly as Otto von Habsburg, was the Head of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine until his death in 2011.
