British Royals at Christmas 2016

Members of the British Royal family attended the annual Christmas Service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Norfolk on December 25th. Most of the members of the family are staying with the Queen at Sandringham House for the Holidays. The Queen missed both the services since she is recovering from a heavy cold. Another absence was Zara Phillips, who recently suffered a miscarriage. The family attended the early morning service, which receives little media attention, and the pre-afternoon service, which is usually attended by all of the Queen’s guests. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte attended a service at St Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire, where they are spending Christmas with the Duchess’s family.
