On Day 2, November 29th, of the Belgian State Visit to the Netherlands, King Philippe of Belgium visited ESA/ESTEC, met with the Presidents of the Dutch Senate and of the House of Representatives, as well Dutch Prime Minister Rutte. He was joined by King Willem-Alexander, Queen Máxima and Queen Mathilde for lunch, and afterwards attended an event with King Willem-Alexander, while Queen Mathilde and Queen Máxima visited the Cobra Museum in Amstelveen. In the evening the King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hosted a Gala concert at the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ.

— Belgian Royal Palace (@MonarchieBe) November 29, 2016King Philippe started the second day of the Belgian State Visit to the Netherlands with a visit to the European Space Agency/European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESA/ESTEC) in Noordwijk. Afterwards, he met with the President of the Dutch Senate, Mrs. Broekers-Knol, and the President of the House of Representatives, Mrs. Arib, as well as the heads of the permanent committees on European affairs of both houses of parliament. Queen Máxima and Queen Mathilde visited charities. King Philippe was received by Dutch Prime Minister Rutte at his office, before being joined by King Willem-Alexander & Queen Máxima of the Netherlands as well as his consort, Queen Mathilde, for a government lunch at the Hall of Knights.King Philippe gave a speech.

— Belgian Royal Palace (@MonarchieBe) November 29, 2016In the afternoon King Philippe and King Willem-Alexander attended the conclusion of a CEO roundtable under the leadership of the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (VNO-NCW) and the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium. King Philippe also visited the Netherlands-Flanders Accreditation Organisation (NVAO). Queen Mathilde and Queen Máxima visited the Pierre Alechinsky retrospective at the Cobra Museum in Amstelveen.

In the evening the King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hosted a Gala concert at the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, in honour of their Dutch hosts, King Willem-Alexander & Queen Máxima of the Netherlands.There were performances by the National Orchestra of Belgium and Ozark Henry. Princess Beatrix, Prince Constanjin & Princess Laurentian, Princess Margriet, and Pieter van Vollenhoven were also present.

For the day events, Queen Mathilde wore a red coat and hat with pearl earrings. Queen Máxima wore an aubergine top and hat over a plaid skirt with her garnet tassel earrings and a diamond brooch.

For the gala concert, Queen Mathilde wore a glittering Jan Taminiau gown with her laurel wreath tiara as a necklace, diamond tassel earrings, and Queen Fabiola’s ruby bracelet. Queen Máxima wore a green Valentino gown with her Tutti Fruity necklace and emerald earrings. King Philippe and King Willem-Alexander wore Black tie.
