Prince Harry spent Day 7 of the Royal Visit to the Caribbean in St Vincent and the Grenadines on November 26th. He attended the official welcome, visited Kingstown’s Botanic Gardens, the Vermont Nature Trail, and a beach. Prince Harry also attended a Reception at the Cruise Ship Terminal.

Prince Harry started his visit to St Vincent and the Grenadines at an official welcome ceremony, where he was met by Governor-General, Sir Frederick Ballantyne. He viewed the military parade and inspected the guard. He traveled to Kingstown’s Botanic Gardens, the oldest tropical gardens in the Western world, which celebrated their 250th anniversary in 2015. Prince Harry toured the gardens, before planting a commemorative Baobab tree to mark the visit.

— The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (@KensingtonRoyal) November 26, 2016He then hiked the Vermont Nature Trail, unexpectedly visited the Vermont village, and unveiled St Vincent’s dedications to The Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy. In the afternoon, Prince Harry visited Colonarie Beach, a recently declared a Protected Turtle Nesting Habitat, to learn about the country’s initiatives on how they protect the endangered population of sea turtles on St Vincent’s shores. He also gave a speech, congratulating the young conservationists of St Vincent, who have banned the killing of sea turtles.

In the evening, Prince Harry attended a reception hosted by the Governor General and the Prime Minister at the Cruise Ship Terminal. He also presented the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Awards, and got presented a painting of himself by Calvert Jones. After the reception, Prince Harry departed for Grenada, where he will continue his tour on the 28th, after taking the 27th off.
