Commonwealth Canopy Reception at Buckingham Palace

The Queen hosted a Commonwealth Canopy Reception at Buckingham Palace on November 15th. She was joined by the Duke of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal, and Princess Alexandra of Kent. She met with diplomats and Sir David Attenborough. The Great Bear Rainforest project in Canada, part of the Commonwealth Canopy project, was unveiled by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge during their Tour in September.

The Queen held an audience with officials and high commissioners of Commonwealth countries before listening to a speech by Sir David Attenborough, who praised the Queen by saying “We are fortunate that you are still thinking about the future and how to make this a better world.

The Queen wore a turquoise suit with her customary Three Strand Pearl Necklace and the Cullinan V Brooch. The Princess Royal wore a purple coat with pearls and a brooch. Princess Alexandra wore a checkered suit with a brooch.
