The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge continued their tour of Canada in Kelowna, British Columbia, and in Whitehorse, Yukon on September 27th. They visited the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus, watching a volleyball game, and later visiting the ‘Taste of British Columbia‘ festival at Mission Hill Winery in Kelowna. The Duke and Duchess moved on to Whitehorse, for the start of their visit to Yukon, where they attended a Welcome ceremony.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took a flight from Victoria to Kelowna in the morning, where they were received by crowds of wellwishers, before traveling to the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan campus. They attended ceremonies marking the 10 year anniversary of the campus, before watching a UBC Heat women’s volleyball team play an exhibition.

The Duke and Duchess also visited the ‘Taste of British Columbia‘ festival at Mission Hill Winery. They tasted a manner of local dishes including geoduck, a seafood delicacy, and curries. They also tried their hand cutting pinot noir grapes from the vines.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at Whitehorse Airport in the late afternoon, being welcomed by a crowd. They were also greeted by Canadian Rangers and Junior Rangers. The Duke and Duchess attended an event at Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre. They were welcomed by Chief Bill and Chief Kane, and got to see a “Land of Gold” performance, which showcased the incredible variety of song, dance and music from Yukon. After the show, performers from the cultural celebration got to meet the royal couple.

For the events in Kelowna, the Duke wore beige trousers with a white shirt and blue blazer. The Duchess wore a new customised Dolce & Gabbana dress with a new pair of earrings from Monica Vinader. In Yukon, the Duchess added the Hobbs Persephone trench coat and a tartan shawl, while the Duke wore a navy jumper.
