Prince George turns 3

Prince George, son of the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge, turned 3 on July 22nd. He was born in 2013, and has a younger sister, Princess Charlotte.  While the Duke & Duchess are intensely private with their family, Prince George has been photographed on a number of occasions since his birth.

The official announcement of Prince George’s birth ended the 3-week long #GreatKateWait. The newborn Prince was first photographed on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital, and later for his Christening at St. James’s Palace. He got many photo opportunities during the 2014 Royal Tour of New Zealand and Australia. Pictures of the family at a butterfly museum were released for his first birthday.

Before turning two, Prince George visited after the birth and attended the christening of Princess Charlotte. He joined his parents of the famous Buckingham Palace Balcony during Trooping the Colour 2015. Prince George started school in September 2015, and also posed for the family’s christmas card.

In early 2016, pictures were released of the Cambridge family on a ski holiday, before the Royal Tour of India and Bhutan. Photos were also released to mark the Queen’s 90th Birthday in April. Also in April, Prince George met the Obama’s in his night suit. He was joined by Princess Charlotte on the Balcony of Buckingham Palace during Trooping the Colour 2016. Prince George attended his first official engagement earlier this month at the Royal International Air Tattoo.

To mark his third birthday, Kensington Palace released four photos of Prince George at Amner Hall, the Cambridge country home in Norfolk, along with the message: “The Duke and Duchess thank everyone for all the lovely birthday messages they have received for Prince George.” The pictures were taken by Matt Porteous recently.
