Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Wimbledon

TRH the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge attended the last day of Wimbledon on July 10th. They watched Scotland’s Andy Murray take on Canadian Milos Raonic in the Gentlemen’s Final. The Royal couple were joined by PM David Cameron, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, and actor Benedict Cumberbatch, among a host of other celebrities and members of the Royal family.

The Duke and Duchess watched the match, and then went to congratulate the winner, Andy Murray. The Duke said “You probably havent gotten any sleep“, and asked after his daughter, calling it a “lucky omen” that boosted him to victory – his daughter slept for three nights’ running. The Duchess said: “…No, today is about you…. you played so well, well done.

The other Royals present were: the Duke of Kent, who presented the trophy, the Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Alexandra of Kent, Prince & Princess Micheal, and their son and daughter in law, Lord & Lady Fredrick Windsor.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore an Alexander McQueen dress with butterflies, lipstick tubes, pocket watches, cameos, skulls, and other imagery in the pattern. She wore Brora gold earrings debuted in Bhutan. The Duke wore navy trousers with a new blazer and navy tie.
