Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall in Ireland

HRH The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall are on a visited Northern Ireland and Ireland from 23rd to 25th May . The Prince of Wales arrived in Belfast, Northern Ireland on May 23rd. the Duchess joined him the next day, when TRH hosted a musical evening at Hillsborough Castle. On May 25th, they moved on to Ireland.

TRH day in Ireland started in Donegal. They were welcomed by a large crowd, before visiting Donegal Castle. Later, the Prince and Duchess walked to McGettigan & Sons Craft Butchers, operating in Donegal since 1952. Their last stop in Donegal was the Magee’s Tweed Factory.

Their next engagement was at the Letterkenny Institute of Technology, where the Prince of Wales said in his speech; “The relationship between Britain and Ireland is now better than ever.” The Duchess visited Ballyraine National School, and saw “Cluckingham Palace.” Their final engagement was at Glenveagh Castle, where TRH magnificent view across the Lough in Glenveagh Park.

The Prince of Wales wore a navy double-breasted suit with a grey tie. The Duchess of Cornwall wore a light blue dress with a darker blue coat. She also wore her Pearl Pendant Earrings with her Everyday Pearl Choker and Irish Claddagh Brooch, a gift from her last tour of Ireland.
