Alexander is a unprecedented name in the Swedish Royal Family, though Erik has a long royal history, and is the name of Prince alexander’s maternal grandfather. Hubertus is also one of the names of King Carl Gustaf. Bertil is one of the names of Prince Carl-Phillip, after the King’s uncle Prince Bertil, Duke of Halland, who acted as a grandfather figure to the Swedish Royal children. Prince Carl-Phillip inherited Prince Bertil’s home, Villa Solbacken, in 2013.
