Mexican State Visit to Denmark

On April 13th H.E. President Enrique Peña Nieto of Mexico and Angélica Rivera arrived at Copenhagen Airport. they were welcomed by all of the members of the Danish Royal Family. Queen Margrethe II and the President inspected the Guard of Honour.

Later in the day, the Presidential couple visited Kronborg Castle with Crown Prince Fredrick and Crown Princess Mary. The two couples also visited the M / S Museum of Maritime.

In the evening, Queen Margrethe hosted a State Banquet at Fredensborg Castle, in Honour of the President. The Banquet was attended by most of the members of the Royal Family, including Prince Henrik, the consort of the Queen, who retired earlier this year.

Queen Margrethe wore a blue gown, with lace daisy top. She wore the Baden Palmette Tiara, with her Queen Alexandrine’s sapphire parure.

Crown Princess Mary wore a red gown, with her new necklace tiara, which she debuted last month. Princess Marie wore her Floral Tiara with a red lace gown. The Queens sister, Princess Bendikte, Princess of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleberg, also attended, wearing a green gown with her 18th birthday floral tiara.
