King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands hosted the annual Gala Dinner for the Diplomatic Corps at the Royal Palace of Amsterdam in Dam Square on the evening of April 9th. Princess Beatrix and Princess Margriet were also present. The Gala Dinner is held in order to maintain international relations and strengthen ties, this year’s theme was art and culture. King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima of The Netherlands visited the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen in Germany on March 6th. The Royal couple annually visit one or more German federal states, with special attention to improving economic relations. They visited Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland last year, and will visit Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Brandenburg in May. Continue reading

Royals from around the World are attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland this week from January 22nd to the 25th. The World Economic Forum is a yearly gathering that brings together leaders of global society, Heads-of State, global companies, leaders of international organizations and prominent cultural, societal and thought leaders to define priorities and shape global, industry and regional agendas.
