Royal Families around Europe have been commemorating the 75th Anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day, marking the end of the Second World War in Europe. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the celebrations are much changed than what was originally planned but still consisted of a variety of commemorations.

King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway attended the annual Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony and Banquet in Oslo on December 10th. While the other Noble Prizes are awarded by King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, only the Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo. Continue reading

Emperor Naruhito of Japan is being Officially Enthroned as the 126th Emperor on the Chrysanthemum Throne in a series of Ceremonies and Banquets in Tokyo this week, with a multitude Royal Guests from around the world in attendance.
