Royal Guests and Relatives from around Scandinavia have joined the Swedish Royal Family to celebrate King Carl XVI Gustaf’s Golden Jubilee this week, with the festivities culminating with a spectacular Banquet at the Royal Palace of Stockholm, following last night’s Gala Performance at the Drottningholm Palace Theatre and a Te Deum in the Chapel of the Royal Palace. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden becomes the first Swedish Monarch to celebrate his Golden Jubilee today.

Greek Crown Jewels discovered at Tatoi Palace

There has been an exciting discovery this month. The Greek Crown Jewels were rediscovered at Tatoi Palace after having been missing for over 40 years. Created for the first Greek King, the Crown Regalia was in Germany for almost a century until being returned to Greece in 1959, less than a decade before the Royal Family went into exile. Today marks the 120th Anniversary of the Birth of Princess Olga of Yugoslavia, who was born on this day in 1903! The illustrious Greek Princess, a cousin of the reigning & former Crowned Heads of Europe, who married the much maligned Second World War Regent of Yugoslavia and spent much of her life in exile, Princess Olga possessed a spectacular jewellery collection, which we are featuring today!
