Queen Frederica (wearing the Order of the Redeemer) and Princess Irene of Greece made an Official Visit to Jerusalem on this day in 1965, their first visit abroad after the death of King Paul. The highlight of the visit was a ceremony in the hall of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem. The Queen also met her cousin, Princess Tatiana Constantinovna of Russia, who served as Abbess at the Mount of Olives Convent in Jerusalem.
