The Wedding of the Earl Grosvenor, eldest son and heir of the Duke of Westminster, and Natalia Phillips, daughter of Georgina Wernher and Harold Phillips (wearing the Bagration Parure), at St. Mary’s Church in Luton on this day in 1978, followed by a Reception at Luton Hoo, the seat of the Phillips family. Royal Guests and Relatives in attendance included Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, Lord Mountbatten (with his granddaughter India Hicks, a bridesmaid) and the Earl and Countess of Lichfield. The couple succeeded to the Dukedom in 1979, and had three children, including the present Duke, before the Duke’s sudden death in 2016.
