Happy Birthday to Princess Tatiana of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, who turns 80 today! The daughter of Gustav Albrecht, 5th Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and Margareta Fouché d’Otrante, her siblings include Prince Richard of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and she grew up at Schloss Wittgenstein. Her father went missing in 1944, but wasn’t declared dead until 1969. In 1964, Princess Tatiana married Prince Moritz, the Landgrave of Hesse, son of Prince Phillip of Hesse and Princess Mafalda of Italy. The couple had four children, including the current Landgrave of Hesse, before their divorce in 1974. Princess Tatiana resides in a farmhouse in the Balearic Islands.
