Funeral of Grand Duchess Charlotte of Luxembourg, 1985

The Funeral of Grand Duchess Charlotte of Luxembourg at the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Luxembourg on this day in 1985, following the Funeral Procession from the Palais Grand-Ducal to the Cathedral through the Rue de la Reine, Rue du Fossé and Rue Notre-Dame, which followed by members of the Grand Ducal Family and dignitaries, and preceded by her Orders and Insignia. After the Funeral Mass, the body of the late Grand Duchess was laid to rest in the Cathedral Crypt.

Royal Guests and Relatives in attendance included King Olav V of Norway, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, Queen Margrethe of Denmark, Queen Juliana of The Netherlands, Prince Albert of Belgium, the Prince of Asturias, Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, King Michael of Romania, Archduke Otto von Habsburg, Prince Rainier III of Monaco, and the Prince of Naples.
