The Wedding of Princess Birgitta of Sweden, daughter of Prince Gustaf Adolf of Sweden, Duke of Västerbotten and Princess Sibylla of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, (wearing the Hohenzollern Clover Coronet) and Prince Johann Georg of Hohenzollern, son of the Prince of Hohenzollern and Princess Margarete Karola of Saxony, in a Roman Catholic Ceremony in the Sankt Johann Church at Sigmaringen Castle in Germany on this day in 1961, following their Civil Wedding (at which she wore the Cameo Tiara) and Ball at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. The couple had three children and separated in 1990, remaining married until his death in 2016. Princess Birgitta of Sweden resides in Spain, and is currently staying with King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia at Stenhammar Palace.
