Danish New Year’s Levée 2020

After being escorted by the Gardehusarregimentets Hesteskorte in the famous Guldkareten, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, joined by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, hosted a New Year’s Levée for Officers from the Defence, the Danish Emergency Management Agency, Invited Representatives of large National Organizations, and royal patronage, at Christiansborg Palace on January 3rd. This comes after the Queen hosted a New Year’s Reception on the 1st and another Levée on the 2nd.

Queen Margrethe wore a large fur coat over the Jørgen Bender fur trimmed navy damask gown she always wears for the event with the earrings and brooch from the Pearl Poiré Parure, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant, and the insignia of her other Orders. Crown Prince Frederik wore Uniform with his medals, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant, and the insignia of his other Orders. Crown Princess Mary repeated a maroon gown with the earrings from the Danish Ruby Parure, the Sash and Star of the Order of the Elephant, and Queen Margrethe’s Family Order.
